Pandit Vaishnavcharan Goswami, an advanced spiritual practitioner of the Kartabhaja sect, took Sri Ramakrishna to the ‘Navarasik’ Kartabhaja community at Kachibagan.

Vaishnabcharan Goswami once took Thakur to the ‘Akhara’ (‘Akhara’ is a distorted form of the word ‘akhand’, which means complete organisation) of the ‘Navarasik’ sect of the Vaishnabas. This Akhara was located in Kachibagan not far from Shyambazar. The Sadhikas(female devotees) of this place tested Thakur for his continence and self-restraint and honored him by declaring that he was pure, flawless and simple.

শ্যামবাজারের নিকটবর্তী কাছি বাগান নামক স্থানে বৈষ্ণবদের ‘নবরসিক’ সম্প্রদায়ের আখড়ায় বৈষ্ণবচরণ গোস্বামী ঠাকুরকে একবার লইয়া গিয়াছিলেন। এখানকার সাধিকারা ঠাকুরকে ইন্দ্রিয় জয়ী কিনা পরীক্ষা করিতে অগ্রসর হইয়া তাঁহাকে অটুট সহজ বলিয়া সম্মান দেখাইয়াছিলেন।
