House of Gopal Ma – Kamarhati Radhakrishna Temple of Govinda Dutta
Gopal Ma used to live in this temple in Kamarhati established by Govinda Chandra Dutta of Pataldanga. She was regular in doing Japa (meditative repetition of a mantra or a divine name) and Dhyan (meditation) and taking bath in the Ganges. With great devotion she used to serve her Ishta-Devata (deity one worships) Gopal. At the age of 62 she met Sri Sri Thakur and was blessed by the vision of her Ishta-Devata. She had many other divine visions in the state of religious ecstasy. Thakur Sri Ramakrishna once went to Kamarhati with Rakhalchandra (Swami Brahmananda) and gracefully accepted Seva (to serve with devotion without any expectation of rerun) offered by Gopal Ma. Even prior to this, Thakur had come to this Thakurbari (temple) at the invitation of wife of Govinda Dutta.
গোপালের মার বাড়ি – কামারহাটী গোবিন্দ দত্তের রাধাকৃষ্ণ মন্দির
পটলডাঙ্গার গোবিন্দচন্দ্র দত্তের এই ঠাকুর বাড়ি, কামারহাটীতে গোপালের মা বাস করিতেন। তিনি এখানে নিয়মিত ধ্যান, জপ, গঙ্গাস্নানাদি এবং ইষ্ট দেবতা গোপালের সেবা করিতেন। ৬২ বৎসর বয়সে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের সাক্ষাতের পর তাঁহার ইষ্ট দর্শন ও ভাবে দিব্যদর্শনাদি হইয়াছিল। ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ রাখালচন্দ্রের (স্বামী ব্রহ্মানন্দের) সহিত একবার কামারহাটীতে গিয়া গোপালের মার সেবা গ্রহণ করেন। ইহার পূর্বেও দত্ত গৃহিণীর নিমন্ত্রণে ঠাকুর এই ঠাকুরবাড়িতে আসিয়াছিলেন।
