Jayagopal Sen’s Garden House (Tapoban) in Belgharia
Sri Sri Thakur came with Hriday to this garden house (No.6 BT Road) in Belgharia and met Keshab Sen for the first time. He was pleased to see his high spiritual bearing. From this time (15-3-1875) onwards, deep intimacy developed between the two. Again on 14th May 1875, Thakur came to Belgharia and had religious discussion with Keshab. At this time, a brief introduction of Thakur was published in a monthly magazine Dharmatattva. At the invitation of Keshab Sen, Thakur once again visited this Tapoban in Belgharia on 15th September 1879 during the Bhaadrotsav (festival held in the month of Bhadra – August-September of English calendar) of the Brahmo Samaj.

জয়গোপাল সেনের বাগান বাড়ি (তপোবন) — শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর হৃদয়কে সঙ্গে লইয়া বেলঘরিয়ায় এই বাগান বাড়িতে (৮ নং বি. টি. রোড) আগমন করিয়া কেশবের সহিত প্রথম দেখা করেন এবং তাঁহার উচ্চ আধ্যাত্মিক অবস্থা লক্ষ্য করিয়া প্রীত হল। এই সময় হইতে উভয়ের মধ্যে গভীর অন্তরঙ্গতার সূচনা (১৫-৩-১৮৭৫)। আবার ১৪-৫-১৮৭৫ তারিখে ঠাকুর বেলঘরিয়ায় আসিয়া কেশবের সহিত ধর্মালোচনা করেন। এই সময়ে ধর্মতত্ত্ব নামে মাসিক পত্রিকায় ঠাকুরের সংক্ষিপ্ত পরিচয় বাহির হয়। ১৫-৯-১৮৭৯ তারিখে ব্রাহ্মসমাজের ভাদ্রোৎসবের সময় কেশবের নিমন্ত্রণে ঠাকুর আর একবার বেলঘরিয়ায় এই তপোবনে যান।
