Srirampur-Mahesh
The temple of Jagannath of this place is very well-known. During SnanYatra (bathing festival on the auspicious birthday of Jagannath the Master of the universe) and Rath-Yatra (chariot festival of Lord Jagannath), large number of people come here. During his stay in Dakshineswar, Sri Sri Thakur, accompanied by his devotees, came here many times for Devdarshan (auspicious sight of the idol of deities), especially on the occasion of Rath-Yatra. It is mentioned in Sri Sri Ramakrishna-Punthi (a book by Akshay Kumar Sen in the narrative poem form on the life and teachings of Thakur Sri Ramkrishna), Sri Sri Thakur accompanied by Sevak (devotee attendant) Latu (Swami Adbhutananda), Manomohan Mitra and Surendranath Mitra’s brother Girindranath came here to the temple of Jagannath for Devdarshan. শ্রীরামপুর-মাহেশ
শ্রীরামপুর-মাহেশ — এই স্থানের জগন্নাথদেবের মন্দির বিখ্যাত। স্নানযাত্রা ও রথযাত্রায় খুব ভিড় হয়। দক্ষিণেশ্বরে অবস্থানকালে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর ভক্তসঙ্গে দেবদর্শনে বিশেষত রথযাত্রায় অনেকবার এখানে আসিয়াছিলেন। শ্রীশ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ পুঁথিতে উল্লেখ আছে একবার মনোমোহন মিত্র, সুরেন্দ্রনাথ মিত্রের ভ্রাতা গিরিন্দ্রনাথের সঙ্গে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর সেবক লাটুসহ এখানে আসিয়া দেবদর্শন করেন।
