Rajendralal Mitra’s House
This house is at the corner of Guruprasad Chowdhury Lane. On 10-12-1881, Thakur graced Rajendralal Mitra’s house and danced and sang in the presence of Keshab Chandra Sen, the most prominent leader of the Brahmo Samaj. Rajendralal Mitra was a renowned figure in those days. He worked at the post of ‘Deputy magistrate’ and rose to the position of assistant secretary and finance minister to the Viceroy during the English era. He was the maternal uncle of two of the lay disciples of Sri Ramakrishna – Sri Manomohan Mitra and Ramchandra Dutta.

উত্তর কলকাতার ঝামাপুকুর নিবাসী ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের পরম ভক্ত রাজেন্দ্রলাল মিত্রের গুরুপ্রসাদ চৌধুরী লেনের মোড়ের বাড়িতে ১০-১২-১৮৮১ তারিখে শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ শুভাগমন করিয়া ভাবে নৃত্যভজন ও ঈশ্বরীয় প্রসঙ্গ করিয়াছিলেন। রাজেন্দ্রলাল এর বন্ধু কেশবচন্দ্র সেনও ওইদিন উপস্থিত ছিলেন। রাজেন্দ্রলাল মিত্র ডেপুটি ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ছিলেন এবং তিনি ইংরেজ সরকারের প্রথম ভারতীয় অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট সেক্রেটারি এবং ভাইসরয়ের আইনমন্ত্রী ছিলেন। রাজেন্দ্রলাল মিত্র শ্রী শ্রী ঠাকুরের গৃহীভক্তদ্বয় রামচন্দ্র দত্ত ও মনমোহন মিত্রের মেসোমশাই ছিলেন।

পথনির্দেশ : উত্তর কলকাতার বিধান সরণিতে অবস্থিত ঠনঠনিয়া কালী মন্দিরের অপরপ্রান্তে পূর্ব দিকে বেচু চ্যাটার্জী স্ট্রীটে অবস্থিত এই বাড়ী।বর্তমানে রাজেন্দ্রলাল মিত্রের এই বিরাট অট্টালিকাটি বিক্রয় হইয়া গিয়াছে সেই জন্য মিত্র পরিবারের কেহ আর এই বাড়িতে বাস করেননা এবং বার্ড়িটি আর পূর্বাবস্থায় নাই।
