Mati Shil’s Thakurbari and Jhil
On the evening of June 18, 1883, while returning from the ‘Doi Chire’ festival at Panihati, Sri Ramakrishna, accompanied by his devotees, visited this sacred Thakurbari (temple) and the adjacent Jhil (large pond).

Direction – The Thakurbari is situated on the eastern side of BT Road, just north of the Belgharia Rathtala intersection, directly opposite the Kamarhati Municipality. Above its main entrance, an inscription reads:
“Matilal Shiler Thakurbari” (Thakurbari of Matilal Shil)

মতিশীলের ঠাকুরবাড়ি ও ঝিল
১৮-৬-১৮৮৩ তারিখে ঠাকুর সদলবলে পানিহাটীর চিঁড়া-মহোৎসবে হইতে ফিরিবার পথে সন্ধ্যার সময় এই ঠাকুরবাড়ি ও ঝিল দর্শন করেন।

পথ নির্দেশ : বিটি রোডের উপর কামারহাটি পৌরসভার বিপরীতে বেলঘরিয়া রথতলার মোড়ের কিছু উত্তরে বিটি রোডের পূর্বপ্রান্তে রাস্তার উপরেই এই ঠাকুরবাড়ি। প্রধান ফটকের শীর্ষে লেখা আছে–
“মতিলাল শীলের ঠাকুরবাড়ি”।
