House of Manimohan Sen in Panihati
While attending the festival of Panihati, Sri Sri Thakur used to visit the house of Manimohan Sen to have Darshan (sight) and pay obeisance to the Deity in his Thakurbari (temple). Thakur also used to participate in the Sankirtan and dance in ecstasy. In the The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna (volume-1), Thakur’s visit to Manimohan Sen’s residence where he was served with the Prasada (food offered to the deity and distributed later to the devotees) has been detailed in the 18th June 1883 description.* Thakur’s visit to Manimohan Sen’s residence in the year 1885 has been described in details In ‘Sri Ramakrishna the Great Master.’**

Direction: While proceeding towards the Ganges along the Raja Ramchand Ghat Road on the opposite side of Panihati Municipality and Sodepur intersection on the BT Road, Sen Ghat is on the north side next to Sri Gaurang Ghat in Mahotsavatala and Manimohan Sen’s house is on the road in front of this Ghat on the east side.

মণিমোহন সেনের বাড়ি ও ঠাকুরবাড়ি
পানিহাটীর উৎসবে যোগদান কালে তাঁহার বাড়িতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর শুভাগমন করিয়া তাঁহাদের ঠাকুরবাড়িতে প্রতিষ্ঠিত শ্রীবিগ্রহ দর্শন করিতেন এবং সংকীর্তনে যোগ দিয়ে নৃত্য করিতেন। ১৮৮৩ খ্রিস্টাব্দের ১৮ই জুন, মণিমোহন সেনের বাড়িতে ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের শুভ পদার্পণ এবং প্রসাদ গ্রহণের বিবরণ ‘শ্রীশ্রীরামকৃষ্ণকথামৃত গ্রন্থে’* বিস্তারিত ভাবে উল্লিখিত আছে এবং ১৮৮৫ খ্রিস্টাব্দে মণি সেনের বাটীতে ঠাকুরের আগমনের বিবরণ ‘শ্রীশ্রীরামকৃষ্ণলীলাপ্রসঙ্গে’** পাওয়া যায়।
