Maidan area – Garer Math
(vast open field adjoining the fort, also known as Brigade Parade Ground)
– It is mentioned in Kathamrita that Sri Sri Thakur visited Maidan twice. According to the description of 21st September 1884, Thakur was once taken there to see the balloon flying up.There he saw a young English boy leaning against a tree with his body bending in three places giving a triple-bend look. The sight brought alive the vision of Sri Krishna in the mind of Thakur and he went into Samadhi. He was taken to the Maidan for the second time on 15th November 1882 to watch Wilson circus.

ময়দান এলাকা-গরের মঠ
শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর দুইবার এখানে আসার কথা কথামৃতে উল্লেখ আছে। ২১-৯-১৮৮৪ তারিখের বিবরণে আছে একবার বেলুন উড়ানো দেখিতে আসিয়া একটি সাহেবের ছেলেকে ত্রিভঙ্গ হইয়া গাছে হেলান দেওয়া অবস্থায় দেখিয়া শ্রীকৃষ্ণের উদ্দীপন হওয়ায় তিনি সমাধিস্থ হইয়াছিলেন। দ্বিতীয়বার ১৫-১১-১৮৮২ তারিখে উইলসন সার্কাস দেখিতে আসিয়াছিলেন।
