Kalighat Kali Temple
This temple was built about 350 years ago. As per mythology, Kalighat represents the site where the toes of the right foot of Sati fell. It is an important place of pilgrimage for the Hindus. Sri Sri Thakur visited Kakrighat a few times to pay homage to the Mother. It is mentioned in Kathamrita that he came here on 29th December 1883. It is also mentioned in the second half of the 3rd chapter of Gurubhav in ‘Leela Prasanga’ that Thakur had vision of Goddess Sri Sri Jagadamba in Kalighat and experienced divine exaltation. At that time, he told one of the fellow devotees, ‘After visiting the temples and places of pilgrimage, one has got to continue with the feeling of purity and contemplation of God even afterwards. Unless one keeps ruminating on those pure thoughts, how can the impact be long lasting in the mind of the devotee ?’

কালীঘাট কালী মন্দির
এই মন্দির প্রায় ৩৫০ বৎসর পূর্বে নির্মিত। পৌরাণিক কাহিনীতে দেবী সতীর একটি অঙ্গুলি এখানে পড়িয়াছিল। ইহা হিন্দুদের একটি মহাতীর্থ। শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর এই মহাতীর্থে কয়েকবার মায়ের দর্শনে আসিয়াছিলেন। ২৯-১২-১৮৮৩ তারিখে এখানে আসার কথা কথামৃতে উল্লিখিত আছে। লীলাপ্রসঙ্গে — গুরুভাব উত্তরার্ধ ৩য় অধ্যায়ে আছে কালীঘাট তীর্থে শ্রীশ্রীজগদম্বাকে দর্শন করিয়া আনন্দিত হইয়াছিলেন। সে সময় সঙ্গী ভক্তদের মধ্যে একজনকে বলিয়াছিলেন ‘দেবস্থান তীর্থস্থান দর্শনাদি করে এসে সেই সব ভাব নিয়ে থাকতে হয়। জাবর কাটতে হয়, তা নইলে ওসব ঈশ্বরীয় ভাব প্রাণে দাঁড়াবে কেন?’
