House of Ram Chandra Dutta
Sri Ramakrishna first visited Ram Chandra Duttas residence (11, Madhu Roy lane, Simulia region) in the month of October 1880, during Durga Puja celebrations. The next year (1881), Sri Ramakrishna revisited this place during the ‘Phool-Dol” festival and subsequently thrice in the year 1883 (20th May, 2nd June and 27th December) and again in the year 1885 (23rd May). These visits have been recorded in Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita and Sri Ramakrishna Bhaktamalika. During these visits, Sri Ramakrishna used to engage in Kirtans, Bhagvad Path, spirtitual discourses and even had food with his devotees on several occasions.
Unfortunately, there is no sign of this structure at present. This particular house was very close to the ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda and was situated on the back side of the Oxford Mission school. The place had to be razed down and a road has been built at this site.
রামচন্দ্র দত্তের বাড়ি
সিমুলিয়ার ১১, মধু রায় লেনের রামচন্দ্র দত্তের এই বাড়িতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর সর্বপ্রথম পদার্পণ করিয়াছিলেন ১৮৮০ সালের অক্টোবর মাসে দুর্গাপূজার সময়। পরের বছর ১৮৮১ সালে বৈশাখী পূর্ণিমায় ফুলদোল উপলক্ষ্যে ঠাকুর দ্বিতীয়বার রামচন্দ্র দত্তের এই বাড়িতে শুভাগমন করিয়াছিলেন এবং পরেও বহুবার তিনি এই বাড়িতে শুভাগমন করিয়াছেন। ১৮৮৩ সালে তিনবার (২০শে মে, ২রা জুন ও ২৭শে ডিসেম্বর ), ১৮৮৪ সালের ২৮শে সেপ্টেম্বর এবং ১৮৮৫ সালের ২৩শে মে বৈশাখী পূর্ণিমায় শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের এই বাড়িতে শুভাগমনের কথা শ্রীশ্রীরামকৃষ্ণকথামৃত ও শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ ভক্তমালিকা গ্রন্থে উল্লেখ করা হইয়াছে। ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ রামচন্দ্র দত্তের এই বাড়িতে আসিয়া ভক্তসঙ্গে কীর্তন, ভাগবৎ পাঠ ও ভক্তিমূলক গান শ্রবণ করিয়া ভাবস্থ হইয়াছেন ,ভগবৎ প্রসঙ্গে ভক্তদের উদ্দীপিত করিয়াছেন ও ভক্তসঙ্গে আনন্দে আহারাদি করিয়াছেন।
বর্তমানে এ বাড়ির কোন চিহ্ন নাই। স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের পৈত্রিক নিবাসের অতি নিকটে অবস্থিত ছিল এই বাড়িটি। অক্সফোর্ড মিশন স্কুলের পশ্চাতে অবস্থিত এই বাড়িটি ভাঙ্গিয়া এখন রাস্তা হইয়াছে।

লাল বিন্দু দিয়ে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে ভক্ত রামচন্দ্র দত্তের বাড়ি। এই বাড়ি বহুদিন আগে ভেঙ্গে ফেলা হয়েছে।
