Harisabha of Kolutola
Being invited to the Harisabha (a place where songs in praise and glory of Hari, an epithet of Lord Vishnu are sung) at the residence of Kalinath Dutta otherwise known as Kalinath Dhar, Thakur Sri Ramakrishna went there in the year 1870, to listen to Bhagavata Path (a recital from Srimad Bhagavatam).* Sri Ramakrishna was accompanied by his nephew, Hridaynath. While listening to the sublime devotional explanation of Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Ramakrishna lost his external consciousness and in a super conscious state stood on the Chaitanyasan (the seat visualized to have been used by Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya and Harisabha activities were performed before it by imagining Sri Chaitanya’s presence on the seat).**
In course of time, the house was divided among the descendants and the Harisabha had to be relocated.

Directions : After entering Devendra Mallick Street opposite to the ‘Hospital for Tropical Diseases’ on the Chittaranjan Avenue and adjacent to Kolutola Street in Central Kolkata, this three-storied building is located on the right side of Phears Lane.

কলুটোলার চৈতন্য হরিসভা
১৮৭০ সালে, কালীনাথ দত্তের (কালীনাথ ধর নামেও পরিচিত) গৃহে হরিসভায় নিমন্ত্রিত হইয়া শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর ভাগ্নে হৃদয়ের সঙ্গে ভাগবত পাঠ শুনিতে আসিয়াছিলেন এবং পাঠ শুনিতে শুনিতে ভাবে আত্মহারা হইয়া ঠাকুর, চৈতন্যাসনে (যে আসনে মহাপ্রভু শ্রীচৈতন্যদেবের আবির্ভাব কল্পনা করিয়া পূজা, পাঠ ইত্যাদি অনুষ্ঠিত হইতো) সমাধিস্থ অবস্থায় দণ্ডায়মান হন। *
পরবর্তীকালে শরিকদের মধ্যে বাড়িটি বিভক্ত হওয়ায়, এই বাড়ি হইতে চৈতন্য হরিভক্তি প্রদায়িনী সভাটি স্থানান্তরিত হয়।
