Gaurhati Village
This village is located 6-7 miles east-south of Arambagh, as one comes in from Kamarpukur. Sri Ramasadaya Bandyopadhyay of this village was married to Smt. Sarvamangala, the younger sister of Gadadhar. Thakur’s second brother Sri Rameshwar Chattopadhyay was married to Ramsaday’s sister Smt. Shakambhari. Gadadhar once went to the village of Gaurhati and saw his younger sister happily serving her husband. The scene was so heartwarming to Gadadhar that when he returned home, he drew a picture of her sister serving her husband. Everyone was amazed to see the similarity of Sarvamangala and her husband in that drawing. A SriRamakrishna Temple and Ashrama have been started at the initiative of the local devotees in the village of Gaurhati.

গৌরহাটি গ্রাম
এই গ্রামে কামারপুকুর হইতে আরামবাগ হইয়া ৬।৭ মাইল পূর্ব-দক্ষিণে যাইতে হয়। গদাধরের কনিষ্ঠা ভগিনী শ্রীমতী সর্বমঙ্গলার সহিত এই গ্রামের শ্রীরামসদয় বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের বিবাহ হইয়াছিল। রামসদয়ের ভগিনী শ্রীমতী শাকম্ভরীর সহিত ঠাকুরের মধ্যম ভ্রাতা শ্রীরামেশ্বর চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের বিবাহ হয়। গদাধর একবার গৌরহাটী গ্রামে গিয়া দেখেন তাঁহার কনিষ্ঠা ভগিনী প্রসন্নমুখে নিজের স্বামীর সেবা করিতেছেন। দৃশ্যটি তাঁহার হৃদয়গ্রাহী হওয়ায় বাড়িতে ফিরিয়া স্বামী সেবানিরতা নিজের ভগিনীর একখানি ছবি আঁকিয়াছিলেন। উহাতে সর্বমঙ্গলার ও তাঁহার স্বামীর চেহারার সৌসাদৃশ্য দেখিয়া সকলে বিস্মিত হইয়াছিলেন। গৌরহাটী গ্রামে সম্প্রতি একটি শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ মন্দির ও আশ্রম স্থানীয় ভক্তদের আগ্রহে শুরু হইয়াছে।
