He met GangaMata at Nidhuban. GangaMataji, seeing the manifestation of Sri Radha in Sri Sri Thakur, used to address him as ‘Dulali’ and served him in various ways. Attracted by the presence of divinity in her, Sri Sri Thakur decided not to leave Vrindavan.

Thakur met Trailanga Swami in Kashi. Thakur once fed him paayas (a sweet dish made of milk and rice) by his own hands. One day in Kashi, Thakur was invited to the monastery of the saints following the peaceful tenets of Guru Nanak.
In 1868, Sri Sri Thakur returned from Prayag to Kashi and after a fortnight, went to Vrindavan and Mathura Dham with Mathurbabu. He also brought with him Bhairabi Brahmani from Kashi. Brahmani spent the rest of her life in Vrindavan Dham and left for heavenly abode from there. At various occasions in Kathamrita, Sri Sri Thakur used to tell his devotees about Mathura and Vrindavan.
Sri Sri Thakur came on pilgrimage to Prayag twice, in 1863 AD and 1868 AD. Along with Mathurbabu, he came to Prayag from Kashi Dham in 1868 AD and bathed and stayed for three nights at the confluence of Ganga and Jamuna.
It is mentioned in the Kathamrita that Sri Sri Thakur went on pilgrimage to Kashi twice. Once in 1863, he visited with his mother, Sri Ram Chatterjee and a few sons of Mathurbabu. At that time the railway journey to Kashi had just started.
On way to Kashi Dham, Sri Sri Thakur visited Baidyanath Dham twice. In 1863, he visited Baidyanath Dham for the first time.
The house of Mathur Babu’s guru was in Talmagro village, not very far from Sonabere. Mathurbabu went there at the invitation of the family members of his Guru. He took Thakur and Hriday there on an elephant’s back and spent a few weeks there.
Visiting Kalaighat near Ranaghat to see Mathurbabu’s zamindari estate, Sri Sri Thakur was saddened by the want and poor plight of the men and women of Kalaighat, and through Mathurbabu he arranged to distribute a bottle of hair oil, new clothing for them and invited them to a full meal.
Mathur Babu had his ancestral home in Sonabere village near Satkhira (now in Bangladesh). Its adjoining villages were also included in his zamindari (feudal estate). Mathurbabu took Thakur with him to those places.
Bhagwandas Babaji’s Ashram – Sri Sri Thakur graced the Ashram with Mathurbabu. As a result of his association with Bhagwandas Babaji, Babaji was able to identify Thakur as a Holy man..
