Vaishnabcharan Goswami once took Thakur to the ‘Akhara’ (‘Akhara’ is a distorted form of the word ‘akhand’, which means complete organisation) of the ‘Navarasik’ sect of the Vaishnabas. This Akhara was located in Kachi Bagan not far from Shyambazar.

While living as a widow in her parental home at Jayarambati, Bhanu Pishi had vision Sri Sri Thakur as her Ishta-Devata (tutelary deity that one worships). Thakur visited her house once. Bhanu Pishi’s real name was Maan Garobini. Since Sri Sri Ma used to address her as Pishi, Sri Sri Thakur gave her the name Bhanu Pishi.
Birthplace of Sri Sri Ma Sarda Devi. The village is located on the banks of the river Amodar, twenty-seven miles away from Bishnupur railway station and sixty-three miles from Kolkata via Tarakeswar.
