শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণদেবের পূতদেহ এই শ্মশানঘাটে ১৬-৮-১৮৮৬ তারিখে ভক্তবৃন্দ লইয়া গিয়া অগ্নিতে আহুতি প্রদান করেন। ওই স্থানটিতে একটি স্মারক মন্দির নির্মিত হইয়াছে। ইহার বর্তমান নাম — শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ মহাশ্মশান।

Vaishnabcharan Goswami once took Thakur to the ‘Akhara’ (‘Akhara’ is a distorted form of the word ‘akhand’, which means complete organisation) of the ‘Navarasik’ sect of the Vaishnabas. This Akhara was located in Kachi Bagan not far from Shyambazar.

Dr Biharilal Bhaduris house is situated in Bidhan Sarani (earlier known as Cornwallis street). Sri Ramakrishna had visited this place when he had come to meet two of his lay disciples, Ram Chandra Dutta and Manomohan Mitra, who resided close by. Dr Bhaduri had himself invited Sri Ramakrishna to his house and treated him with homeopathic medicines. Later, in this very house, resided his son in law, Dr Pratap Chandra Majumdar. On the footsteps of his father in law, Dr Majumdar too had treated Sri Ramakrishna during his illness.

Vijayakrishna Goswami lived in a rented house at 26, Jhamapukur Lane. Sri Ramakrishna visited Vijaykrishna Goswami in this house during his illness. This is mentioned in the twelfth chapter (fifth part) of the Sri-M-Darshan and the fourteenth chapter (tenth part) of the Sri-M-Darshan. Presently, a medical center exists at the exact location of this house.
