Surendranath Mitra brought Sri Sri Thakur to this place to show how photography is done. After showing him the technique of photography, a picture of Thakur was taken while he was standing in Samadhi state.

Sri Sri Thakur came to this house at least twice as has been mentioned in Kathamrita. Once he came here with Hriday between 1875 and 1877. This visit is mentioned in Kathamrita in the description of day 28th May 1884.

Sri Ramakrishna visited Manilal Mallick, a prominent Brahmo devotee of his time and a great patron as well, in his house in the Sinduriapatti region of North Kolkata during the annual ‘Mahotsav’ of Brahmo Samaj on two occasions, first on 26th November 1882 and again after a year, on 26th November 1883. On both these occasions, Sri Ramakrishna engaged in spiritual discussions with the devotees and had food in this house.
