This Metropolitan School was located not very far from the five-lane intersection in Shyambazar. On 15th November,1882 Sri Sri Thakur was taken in a car to watch circus show at the Maidan (vast open field adjoining the fort, also known as Brigade Parade Ground). Master Mahasaya was picked up from this school on that day.

৪০ রামধন মিত্র লেন, কলিকাতা-৪, ১৮৮২ খ্রীষ্টাব্দের ২রা এপ্রিল শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর ভক্তসঙ্গে এই বাড়িতে আসিয়া মধ্যাহ্নে সেবা গ্রহণ করিয়াছিলেন। তৎপরে ভগবৎপ্রসঙ্গ করেন।

গোকুল ভট্টাচার্যের বৈঠকখানা, ৫৫ নং শ্যামপুকুর স্ট্রীট। গলার অসুখের চিকিৎসার জন্য শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর এই বাড়িতে ২-১০-১৮৮৫ তাং হইতে ১০-১২-১৮৮৫ পর্যন্ত ৭০ দিন ছিলেন। এই সময়কার বারদিনের বিবরণ কথামৃতে উল্লিখিত আছে। এই বাড়ি কালীপদ ঘোষের প্রচেষ্টায় ভাড়া লওয়া হইয়াছিল।

২০, শ্যামপুকুর স্ট্রীট। এই বাড়িতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর শুভাগমন করিয়াছিলেন পুঁথিতে উল্লিখিত আছে। দক্ষিণেশ্বরে একদিন কালীপদ উপস্থিত হইলে, শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর কলিকতায় যাওয়ার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেন। তখনই নৌকায় করিয়া ঠাকুর লাটুর সঙ্গে রওনা হন। পথে গঙ্গাবক্ষে কালীপদর জিহ্বায় মন্ত্র লিখিয়া দিয়া তাঁহাকে কৃপা করেন এবং তাঁহার বাড়িতে শুভাগমন করেন। ৺শ্যামা পূজা দিবসে প্রতি বৎসর এই বাড়িতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের স্মরণোৎসব হয়।

Captain took Sri Sri Thakur many times to his house and served him with great devotion. Both husband and wife were Thakur’s devotees. Sri Sri Thakur bestowed special grace on them by discussing Bhagavat. Sri Sri Thakur mentioned and commended their devotion and service to his other devotees.

Sri Sri Thakur visited Mahendra Mukherjee’s flour mill on 21st September, 1884 when he came to watch the play ‘Chaitanya Lila’ at the Star theatre and rested here for a while. After the theatre, Mahendrababu, with great devotion, served Sri Sri Thakur with refreshments before his return to Dakshineswar.

In this house five hundred years old Gaur-Nitai Vigraha is served by turns. Mahendra Goswami is a descendant of Nityananda. Their ancient home in Khardah. Śrī Śrī Thākura came to Gorānītāi Vigraha darshan.

Panihati is on the banks of the Ganges north of Dakshineswar. At the direction of Prabhu Nityananda, Vaishnava Raghunath Das started Chida Utsava or Chipped Rice Festival (Chida-dahi Utsava is celebrated to commemorate the meeting of Srila Raghunatha Das Goswami with Sri Nityananda Prabhu when they met for the first time in Panihati). It is celebrated on the thirteenth day of the bright moon in the month of Jyeshta (in May-June period of the year).

২৩ নং সিমুলিয়া স্ট্রীটের এই বাড়িতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর শুভাগমন করিয়াছিলেন। ৩-১২-১৮৮১ তারিখে এই বাড়িতে কেশব সেন ও অন্যান্য ভক্তদের সঙ্গে ভগবৎ প্রসঙ্গ ও কীর্তনানন্দের পরে আহারাদি করিয়াছিলেন — কথামৃতের পরিশিষ্টে ইহার বিবরণ আছে। কলিকাতায় আসিলে এখানে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর কিছুক্ষণ বিশ্রাম করিয়া অন্যত্র যাইতেন। বর্তমানে বাড়িটির হস্তান্তর হইয়াছে।
