Sri Sri Thakur came to this house with ‘Captain’ (Viswanath Upadhyay). Earlier, Thakur met Jatindra Mohan once in the garden house of Jadulal Mallik in Dakshineswar. There they had discussions on the necessity and usefulness of contemplation of God.

Sri Sri Thakur came to this Vaishnava Akhara (monastery) in the afternoon of 16th November, 1882 to witness the Saro- Bhuj-Mahaprabhu (deity of Mahaprabhu with six hands).

It has been mentioned in Kathamrita that Sri Sri Thakur along with the devotees watched in Star Theater three plays viz., ‘Chaitanya Leela’ on 21st September 1884, ‘Prahlad Charitra’ on 18th December 1884 and ‘Brishaketu’ on 25th February 1885.

বর্তমানে রবীন্দ্রকানন — পুঁথিতে ‘বিডন-বাগান’ নামে উল্লিখিত। ডা: দুর্গাচরণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে গলরোগের প্রথম অবস্থায় দেখানোর পরে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর, গোলাপ-মা, লাটু ও কালীর সহিত এই বাগানে দর্শনে আসিয়াছিলেন। নানাপ্রকারের বৃক্ষলতা, সিমেন্টে তিলক চিত্র আঁকা, তিলকের মালা ইত্যাদি দেখিতে দেখিতে বেলা ১৷৷টার সময় তাঁহারা নৌকাযোগে প্রত্যাবর্তন করেন।

In this dwelling place of Debendranath Majumdar at Nimu Goswami lane, Sri Sri Thakur, on 6th April 1885, passed into super conscious state while singing Kirtan and having discourse on Bhagavat. He took refreshments thereafter and enjoyed very much eating Kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream) in the scorching heat of the month of Chaitra (March/April period)

The house was located near Notun Bazar in Calcutta. In the early stage of Sri Sri Thakur’s throat ailment, Golap-ma, Latu (Swami Adbhutananda) and Kali (Swami Abhedananda) brought Sri Sri Thakur by boat from Dakshineswar to his house for treatment.

The house of Brahmo Samaj member Kashishwar Mitra, located in Grey Street was visited by Sri Sri Thakur on 2nd May 1883 on the occasion of a Brahmo Samaj festival. Members of the Tagore family including Rabindranath Tagore were present on that day.

বর্তমান ঠিকানা — ৯৭বি, বেনিয়াটোলা স্ট্রীট; শোভাবাজার, কলিকতা-৫। শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর এই বাড়িতে ভক্তসঙ্গে অন্তত ৯ বার শুভাগমন করিয়াছিলেন (কথামৃতের বিবরণ অনুযায়ী)। এই বাড়িতে সাহিত্য সম্রাট বঙ্কিমচন্দ্রের সহিত তাঁহার সাক্ষাৎ ও ভগবৎ প্রসঙ্গ হইয়াছিল। ভক্তসঙ্গে কীর্তন, ভগবৎ প্রসঙ্গ, সমাধিস্থ হওয়া ও আহার করার কথা কথামৃতে উল্লিখিত আছে।

৯/১ কুমারটুলি স্ট্রীট, কলিকাতা-৫, বিখ্যাত কবিরাজ গঙ্গাপ্রসাদ সেনের এই বাড়িতে শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ চিকিৎসার জন্য আসিয়াছিলেন।
