Visiting Kalaighat near Ranaghat to see Mathurbabu’s zamindari estate, Sri Sri Thakur was saddened by the want and poor plight of the men and women of Kalaighat, and through Mathurbabu he arranged to distribute a bottle of hair oil, new clothing for them and invited them to a full meal.

Sri Sri Thakur went to visit Nabadwip Dham with Mathurbabu. Thakur, even after visiting many Gosai families of Nabadwip was disappointed by the absence of feeling of any divine vibration of Mahaprabhu. On the way back, while boarding the boat, he had a strange vision. Two beautiful teenagers with skin of molten golden complexion and heads surrounded by golden halo were running towards him through the sky raising their hands and smiling. Thakur shouted out, ‘Oi Elore (here they come), Oi Elore (here they come)!’ As the figures approached and entered Thakur’s body, Thakur fell unconscious. This incident signifies that the original Nabadwip, the divine playground of Sri Sri Mahaprabhu, has submerged long back under the Ganges.
Thakur sometimes traveled through Burdwan while visiting Kamarpukur from Dakshineswar.
