Lodging of Sri Ramkumar (Sri Ramakrishna’s Elder Brother)
Sri Ramakrishna (then Gadadhar) used to stay with his brother in a house on the Bechu Chatterjee street, just 3-4 houses ahead of the house of Gobind Chatterjee. They stayed here for about two years, from 1852-1853 to 1855 in a simple tiled hut, which was located on the north side of the road opposite to the Laha household. All those houses have been demolished now and have been replaced by brick houses.

Directions : The CESC Power House is located on the right side of Bechu Chatterjee Street, near Amherst Street City College, and next to this Power House, one has to enter Balai Singh Lane and pass 4-5 houses. The house on the left side was once the place where Thakur resided.
ঠাকুরের দাদার বাসা
এই বেচু চ্যাটার্জী স্ট্রীটের একটু পূর্বে, গোবিন্দ চাটুজ্যের বাড়ির ৩/৪ টি বাড়ির পরে, ১৮৫২-১৮৫৩ থেকে ১৮৫৫ সময়কালে, প্রায় দুই বৎসর, শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ (তখন গদাধর) তাঁর জ্যেষ্ঠ ভ্রাতা রামকুমারের সহিত একই বাসাতে থাকিতেন। সেটি খোলার বাড়ি ছিল। লাহাদের বাড়ির বিপরীত দিকের রাস্তায়, বলাই সিংহ লেনে (বেচু চ্যাটার্জ্জী স্ট্রীটের উত্তরে) উহা অবস্থিত ছিল। এখন সে সব বাড়ি ভাঙ্গিয়া বড় পাকা বাড়ি হইয়াছে।

পথ নির্দেশ : আমহার্স্ট স্ট্রীট সিটি কলেজের নিকটেই কলেজ সংলগ্ন বেচু চ্যাটার্জী স্ট্রীটের ডান পার্শ্বে অবস্থিত CESC Power House এবং এই পাওয়ার হাউজের সংলগ্ন বলাই সিংহ লেনে প্রবেশ করিয়া ৪-৫ টি বাড়ি অতিক্রম করিয়া বাম পার্শ্বে অবস্থিত যে বাড়িটি, সেই স্থানেই একসময় ঠাকুরের দাদার বাসা ছিল।
