Bishnupur Mrinmoyee Mandir
Thakur once went from Kamarpukur to visit Hriday’s home in Shihar, and during his stay there, went to Bishnupur city to testify in a legal case. Since the case was settled later amicably, he did not have to testify. At that time Thakur went around and saw Lalbandh and the other big lakes and also visited many temples of various gods and goddesses in the city of Bishnupur. Goddess Mrinmoyee Devi in the temple established by the kings of Bishnupur, was a live deity, an Embodiment of Consciousness. The face of the goddess in the temple was different from the one which Thakur saw in his vision. It was revealed that this idol was replacement of the original one which broke long back and hence the face was different. However, the face of the old idol was carefully preserved in the house of a Brahmin. Later, another idol was made and the original face was attached to it and was installed in another temple near Lalbandh and continued to be worshiped regularly there.
বিষ্ণুপুর মৃন্ময়ী মন্দির
ঠাকুর একবার কামারপুকুর হইতে শিহড়ে হৃদয়ের গৃহে অবস্থানকালে একটি মোকদ্দমায় সাক্ষ্য দিতে বিষ্ণুপুর আদালতে গিয়াছিলেন। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত মামলা আপসে মিটিয়া যাওয়ায় সাক্ষ্য দিতে হয় নাই। সেই সময় ঠাকুর বিষ্ণুপুর শহরের লালবাঁধ ইত্যাদি দীঘি, অনেক দেব-মন্দির ইত্যাদি দেখিয়াছিলেন। বিষ্ণুপুরের রাজাদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত ৺মৃন্ময়ী দেবী অত্যন্ত জাগ্রতা ছিলেন। ওই সময়ে ভাবাবেশে ঠাকুরের যে দেবী মূর্তির দর্শন হইয়াছিল তাহা বহুপূর্বেই ভগ্ন হওয়ার পরে নূতন মূর্তি মন্দিরে স্থাপিত হইয়াছিল। ভাবে দৃষ্ট দেবী মূর্তির মুখখানি এই নূতন মূর্তির মুখের ন্যায় ছিল না। পুরাতন মূর্তির মুখটি এক ব্রাহ্মণের গৃহে সযত্নে রক্ষিত ছিল। পরে অন্যমূর্তি গড়াইয়া এই মুখটি উহাতে সংযোজিত করিয়া লালবাঁধের পার্শ্বে অন্য মন্দিরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা হয় এবং ইহার নিত্যপূজাদি হইতে থাকে।
