Jadulal Mallick’s Garden House

At the sincere invitation of his lay devotee Jadulal Mallick, Sri Ramakrishna sanctified this garden house of Jadulal Mallick by several visits. It was here that Sri Ramakrishna first saw the picture of child Jesus in the arms of Madonna (Mother Mary) and entered into a state of bliss. There is no existence of this house at present. A large part of this palatial estate was razed down for building of the Wellington bridge over the river Ganges (later renamed as Vivekananda Setu). Long after, in the year 1951, the remaining section of the house was taken over from the Rail company by the West Bengal Government and sold to Sri Sri Ramakrishna Mahamandal. In 1952, a temple dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna was established here, where a statue of Sri Ramakrishna (in the standing position) was installed. A trust board has been set up by the householder devotees of Sri Ramakrishna, who look after the smooth running of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Mahamandal. The house is located on the south side adjacent to Dakshineswar temple.

যদুলাল মল্লিকের বাগানবাড়ি

(অধুনা শ্রী শ্রী রামকৃষ্ণ মহামন্ডল)  দক্ষিণেশ্বর-মন্দিরের সংলগ্ন দক্ষিণদিকে অবস্থিত। ভক্ত যদু মল্লিকের আন্তরিক আহ্বানে ঠাকুর এখানে তাঁহার সঙ্গে কখন কখনও মিলিত হইতেন। এই বাড়ির বৈঠকখানায় ম্যাডোনা ক্রোড়ে শিশু যীশুর ছবি দেখিয়া ঠাকুর তন্ময় হইয়া গিয়াছিলেন। বর্তমানে সেই বৈঠকখানাটির কোন অস্তিত্ব নেই। গঙ্গার উপরে উইলিংডন ব্রিজ (পরে বিবেকানন্দ সেতুতে নামান্তরিত) তৈরীর জন্য যদুলাল মল্লিকের দক্ষিণেশ্বরের এই বিরাট সম্পত্তি অধিকৃত হয় এবং সেই প্রাসাদ ভাঙ্গা হইয়াছিল। বাড়িটির অবশিষ্ট অংশ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার ১৯৫১ সালে রেল কোম্পানির থেকে  অধিগ্রহণ করে শ্রী শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ মহামন্ডলকে বিক্রয় করিয়াছিল এবং ১৯৬২ খ্রিস্টাব্দে এখানে ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের মন্দির স্থাপিত হয় যেখানে  ঠাকুরের দন্ডায়মান অবস্থার মর্মরমূর্তি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হইয়াছিল। শ্রীশ্রী ঠাকুরের গৃহী ভক্তদের দ্বারা গঠিত একটি ট্রাস্ট বোর্ড এই মহামন্ডল পরিচালনার দায়িত্বে নিযুক্ত আছেন।
