Shiva Temples
The names of the Shiva Lingams of the Twelve Shiva temples – Shiva Lingams to the north of Chandni are respectively – Yogeshwar, Jatneshwar, Jatileshwar, Nakuleshwar, Nakeshwar and Nirjareshwar and the Shiva Lingams of the temples to the south of Chandni are named as Yajneshwar, Jaleshwar, Jagadishwar, Nageshwar, Nandishwar and Nareshwar. Every Shiva Lingam is worshiped daily with offerings of all necessary ingredients viz., plantain, fruits etc. Besides daily puja, on special occasions also pujas are performed on Shivaratri, Nilpuja, Charak days and Snanyatra (day of establishment of Dakshineswar Temple). Sri Ramakrishna used to recite auspicious hymns in all these temples.
শিবমন্দির
দ্বাদশ শিবমন্দিরের শিবলিঙ্গগুলির নাম — চাঁদনীর উত্তরদিকের মন্দিরসমূহের যথাক্রমে — যোগেশ্বর, যত্নেশ্বর, জটিলেশ্বর, নকুলেশ্বর, নাকেশ্বর ও নির্জরেশ্বর, আর চাঁদনীর দক্ষিণদিকের মন্দিরগুলির শিবলিঙ্গের নাম যথাক্রমে যজ্ঞেশ্বর, জলেশ্বর, জগদীশ্বর, নাগেশ্বর, নন্দীশ্বর ও নরেশ্বর। সোপকরণ নৈবেদ্যসহ প্রতি শিবকে নিত্যপূজা করা হয়। এতদ্ব্যতীত শিবরাত্রি, নীলপূজা ও চড়কের দিনে এবং স্নানযাত্রায় (দেবালয় প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবসে) বিশেষ পূজার ব্যবস্থা আছে। এই সব মন্দিরে শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ স্তোত্রপাঠাদি করিতেন।
