Bhutir Khal Crematorium and the Grazing Field
After his father Kshudiram passed away, Gadadhar used to spend a lot of time in this crematorium in grief. At times he used to wander around in this grazing-field while eating puffed rice from the front fold of his clothing. During one of those days, in the midst of black clouds in the sky, he became overwhelmed by the sight of a flock of flying white cranes in the background of the black sky and went into Samadhi (superconscios state of mind when it is concentrated on one subtle object). This was his first experience of devotional ecstasy (Bhava Samadhi).
ভূতির খাল শ্মশান ও চারণভূমি
পিতা ক্ষুদিরাম দেহত্যাগ হইলে গদাধর শোকাচ্ছন্ন হইয়া এই শ্মশানে বহু সময় কাটাইতেন। এই গোচারণের মাঠে গদাধর কোন কোন সময় কোঁচড়ে মুড়ি লইয়া খাইতে খাইতে বেড়াইতেন। সেই সময় একদিন আকাশে কৃষ্ণবর্ণ মেঘের কোলে এক ঝাঁক সাদা বলাকা দর্শনে মুগ্ধ হন এবং এই অপূর্ব সৌন্দর্যের দর্শনে তন্ময় হইয়া ভাবসমাধিস্থ হন। ইহাই তাঁহার প্রথম ভাব সমাধি।
