Nahabatkhana (music tower)
Nahabat (assorted musical instruments) used to be played six times a day from the two Nahabatkhanas (music tower) situated outside of the temple one on the north and the other towards the south.This practice has been stopped long ago. Thakur’s mother Chandramani Devi used to live in the room in the Nahabatkhana on the northern side.Just below her room was the room of Sri Sarada Ma who resided here whenever she was in Dakshineshwar. Marble statue of Sri Sri Ma has been installed in this room. Daily puja (worshipping) of Ma’s statue and picture is performed here.
নহবতখানা
মন্দির প্রাঙ্গণের বাহিরে উত্তর ও দক্ষিণে অবস্থিত দুইটি নহবতখানা হইতে পূর্বে দিনে ছয়বার নহবত বাজানো হত। এখন আর হয় না। উত্তর দিকের নহবতখানার ঘরে ঠাকুরের মাতা চন্দ্রামণিদেবী বাস করিতেন। নিচের ঘরে শ্রীশ্রীমা দক্ষিণেশ্বরে অবস্থানকালে দীর্ঘদিন বাস করিয়াছিলেন। এখন এই ঘরে শ্রীশ্রীমায়ের মর্মর মূর্তি স্থাপিত হয়েছে। মূর্তি এবং তাঁর ছবিতে নিত্য পূজা করা হয়।
