Konnagar
The zamindars (landlords) and other respectable people of this village used to feel very happy visiting the temple of Dakshineswar. They were particularly impressed and captivated by listening to spiritual discourses of Sri Ramakrishna as well as community singing of hymns (Kirtan). Due to their earnestness, Sri Sri Thakur visited Konnagar a few times. Pandit Deenabandhu Nyaratna, Shriyukta Nabai Chaitanya and his nephew Manomohan Mitra of this place were very respectful to Sri Sri Thakur and became his ardent devotees.

এই গ্রামের জমিদার ও সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তিগণ দক্ষিণেশ্বরে মন্দিরাদি দর্শন ও শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের দর্শন, ঈশ্বরীয় প্রসঙ্গ ও কীর্তনাদি শ্রবণ করিয়া মুগ্ধ হইয়াছিলেন। তাঁহাদের আগ্রহে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর কয়েকবার এখানে শুভাগমন করিয়াছিলেন। এই স্থানের পণ্ডিত দীনবন্ধু ন্যয়রত্ন, শ্রীযুক্ত নবাইচৈতন্য মিত্র এবং তাঁহার ভ্রাতুষ্পুত্র মনোমোহন মিত্র শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের বিশেষ অনুরাগী ও পরমভক্ত হইয়াছিলেন।
