Bhadrakali
Bhadrakali village is located on the other side of Dakshineswar. It is stated in Sri Sri Ramakrishna-Punthi that Thakur was very much charmed by the singing of Panchali (Bengali ballad songs) by Shibu Acharya. Shibu made a special request to Sri Sri Thakur to visit the house of his devout father-in-law in the village Bhadrakali. Accordingly, Sri Sri Thakur, accompanied by many devotees, visited the village once and delighted them all with religious discourse and Kirtan (singing of hymns) and satisfyingly dined with the devotees in the house of the devout Brahmin. Here again, when a pandit (a wise and learned person) named Samadhyayi was not agreeing with any of the viewpoints of Mahim Chakraborty during a debate, Sri Sri Thakur removed his atheistic tendencies by touching him and thus bestowed mercy on him.
ভদ্রকালী
দক্ষিণেশ্বরের অপরপারে ভদ্রকালী গ্রাম অবস্থিত। শ্রীশ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ পুঁথিতে আছে পাঁচালী গায়ক শিবু আচার্যের গান শুনিয়া শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর মুগ্ধ হইলে শিবু তাঁহার ভক্তিমান শ্বশুরের বাড়ি ভদ্রকালী গ্রামে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরকে একবার শুভাগমন করিতে বিশেষ অনুরোধ করেন। তদনুসারে অনেক ভক্ত সঙ্গে একদিন শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর এই গ্রামে শুভাগমন করিয়া সকলকে ঈশ্বরীয় প্রসঙ্গ ও কীর্তনাদি দ্বারা আনন্দদান করেন এবং এই ভক্তিমান ব্রাহ্মণের গৃহে ভক্তগণসঙ্গে আহারাদি করিয়া সন্তুষ্ট হইয়াছিলেন। এখানে সামাধ্যায়ী নামক এক পণ্ডিতের সহিত মহিম চক্রবর্তীর বিচারকালে পণ্ডিত যখন কোন কথা স্বীকার করিতেছিলেন না, তখন শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর তাঁহাকে স্পর্শ করিয়া তাঁহার নাস্তিক ভাব দূর করিয়া তাঁহাকে কৃপা করিয়াছিলেন।
